F.No. 1-4/NTCP/2016 :- In the interest of Public Health and in consonance with the Section 7 of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) Act, 2003, the Union Territory of Lakshadweep hereby imposes complete ban on the production, sale, supply, or distribution of loose Cigarettes and other loose tobacco products within Union Territory of Lakshadweep which do not have specified health warnings on it with immediate effect. Any person violating the law shall be punished under Section-20 of COTPA, 2003.

Presently the Community Health Centre, Andrott is functioning with minimal allied facilities and has been constructed long years back which need to be
provided with latest amenities to the need of patients.
