F.No. 13/16/2021-FCS(PART)/548 :- In exercise of the powers conferred by under clause 11 of the Lakshadweep Fair Price Shops (Terms and Conditions for Issuance of License, Regulation of sale and Distribution of Essential Commodities) Licensing Order, 2021. The Hon'ble Administrator, Union Territory of Lakshadweep hereby makes the following amendment to the above Lakshadweep FPS Licensing Order 2021.

F.No. 13/2/2021-LR/899 :- Whereas the place notified in the schedule below is of vital importance to the country, as it is the only AFS in Agatti, UT of Lakshadweep and the AFS is of strategic interest as it determines the Administrations' capacity to move and mobilise in case of genuine requirement, or during any disaster or attack.

And whereas, information with respect thereto, or the destruction or the obstruction thereof or interference therewith would be useful to an enemy and such an access to information has the potential to cripple the economy and other strategic interest of the UT and the nation as a whole.

Now therefore, in exercise of powers conferred by the sub clause (d) of Clause (8) of Section 2 of the Official Secret Act, 1923 (Central Act 19 of 1923), read with the notification S. O. No 1285 dated the 4th May, 1963 of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, The Union Territory of Lakshadweep Administration hereby declare the place specified in theTHE LAKSHADWEEP GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY 3 schedule below to be a "Prohibited Place" for the purpose of the said Act and direct that a copy of this notification, in English and Malayalam version thereof be affixed in the said place.
