No.2/4/2022 - SC/534:- In exercise of the powers conferrred under Section 9 of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 (No. 39 of 1987) as amended by the Legal Services Authorities (Amendment ) Act, 1994 (No. 59 of 1994) read with Rule 9 A of the Legal Services Authority (Amendment ) Rules, 2022 and in consultation with the Hon'ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Kerala, the Adminstrator, Union Territory of Lakshadweep hereby constitutes the District Legal Services Authority for the Union Territory of Lakshadweep consisting of the following:
1. The District & Session Judge - Chairman 2. Shri. K. Cheriyakoya - Secretary 3. The Additional District Magistrate - Ex-Officio member 4. The District Government Pleader - -do- 5. The Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ) - -do- 6. The Director of Social Welfare Department - -do- 7. Four members nominated by the Administrator, Union Territory of Lakshadweep from time to time under Rule 9A(3) & (4) - Nominated Members This notification shall come into force with immediate effect
