The holiday on account of Muharram was earlier notified for 06th July, 2025 (Sunday) vide Notification F. No.35/02/2018 - Genl/1638 dated 17th October, 2024, subject to change in date, depending on sighting of the Moon. It has now been brought to the notice of this Administration that in Kavaratti. Muharram will be observed on 07th July, 2025 (Monday) Accordingly the Closed Holiday on account of Muharram for the Govt. Offices/Institutions under this Administration. Banks and Court in Kavaratti Island as notified earlier, now will be on 07th July, 2025 (Monday) instead of 06th July, 2025 (Sunday).
