2 THE LAKSHADWEEP GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY The Nodal Officer Shall:1. Receive complaints of sexual harassment from workplaces within their jurisdiction and forward them to the Local Committee constituted under sub- section (1) of section 6 of the Act within seven days of receipt.
2. Provide assistance to complainants in filing and following up complaints.
3. Ensure confidentiality of all records and proceedings.
4. Facilitate awareness and sensitization programs at the block level regarding the Act and related grievance mechanisms.
5. Submit quarterly reports to the District Officer ( District Collector, UTLA) through the Department of Women & Child Development.
This notification hereby supersedes and cancels all previous notifications and order issued in respect of the
appointment or designation of Nodal Officers under sun-section (2) of section 6 of the Sexual Harassment of
Women Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
