NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 8B of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 (Act 28 of 1961), the Administrator, Union Territory of Lakshadweep is pleased to designate the Director, Women and Child Development Department, UT of Lakshadweep, as the Dowry Prohibition Officer for the UT of Lakshadweep.

The Dowry Prohibition Officer shall exercise the powers and perform the duties as specified under the Act and the rules framed thereunder.

This is issued with the Approval of the Hon'ble Administrator, UTL vide Dairy No.436
