NOTIFICATION
In partial modification of this Administration's Notification of even number dated 27.10.2025, and in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub- section (3) of Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (Central Act 21 of 2000), read with Rule 3(1)(d) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 Dated:10/02/2026, and in accordance with the latest amendments issued by the Government of India prescribing that the Authorized Nodal Officer shall be an officer not below the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police or equivalent, the Administrator, Union Territory of Lakshadweep hereby orders the following:
1. Kavaratti Police Station shall continue to function as the Nodal Cyber Police Station for the Union Territory of Lakshadweep for carrying out functions under Section 79(3)(b)of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
2. The Additional Director General of Police, Union Territory of Lakshadweep, to be the Nodal Officer as per Section 79(3)(b) of Information Technology Act 2000.
