ABill to repeal the Madhya Pradesh Vidyut Pradaya Upakram ( Arjan) Adhiniyam , 1974.
Be it enacted by the Madhya Pradesh Legislature in the seventieth year of the Republic of India as follows :-
Short title.
1. This Act may be called the Madhya Pradesh Vidyut Pradaya Upakram (Arjan) Nirsan Adhiniyam, 2019.
Repeal of enactment.
2. The Madhya Pradesh Vidyut Pradaya Upakram (Arjan ) Adhiniyam , 1974 (No. 38 of 1974) is hereby repealed in its entirety.
STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS
The Madhya Pradesh Vidyut Pradaya Upakram (Arjan) Adhiniyam , 1974 (No. 38 of 1974) was enacted with the provisions for acquisition of three private electricity supply undertakings , then working in the State. The acquisition of all three electricity supply undertakings at Jabalpur , Sagar and Dewas completed by the State Government as per the provisions of the aforesaid Act . The said Act has outlived its utility and served its intended purpose .
2. THEREFORE, it is considered necessary to repeal the said Act in entirety, which has lost its significance or became redundant .
3. Hence this Bill .
