THE MAHATMA GANDHI CHITRAKOOT GRAMODAYA VISHWAVIDYALAYA (SANSHODHAN) VIDHEYAK , 2021
A Bill further to amend the Mahatma Gamdhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam , 1991 .
Be it enacted by the Madhya Pradesh Legislature in the seventy - second year of the Republic of India as follows :-
Short title and commencement .
1. ( 1 ) This Act may be called the Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam , 2021 .
(2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Madhya Pradesh Gazette .
Amendment of Section 11 .
2. In Section 11 of the Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam , 1991 (No. 9 of 1991) ,-
(i) in sub - section ( 1 ) ,-
(a) in clause ( 1 ) , for the word "Chancellor " , the word " Vice-Chancellor " shall be substituted;
(b) in clause (3 ) , the words " Vice- Chancellor and " shall be omitted;
(ii) in sub- section (2) , for the word " Chancellor " , the word " Vice- Chancellor " shall be substituted .
STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS
At present it is provided in clause ( 1 ) of sub -section ( 1 ) of Section 11 of the Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam , 1991 ( No. 9 of 1991 ) that the Chancellor shall be the ex- officio Chairman of the Board. Whereas it is provided in all Government Universities , that the Vice- Chancellor of the concerning University is the Chairman of the Executive Council/Board . Therefore , as per all the Acts of Government Universities , it is proposed to amend Section 11 of the Principal Act suitably .
2. Hence this Bill .
