THE MADHYA PRADESH VISHWAVIDYALAYA (SANSHODHAN ) VIDHEYAK, 2021 ABill Further to amend the Madhya Pradesh Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam , 1973 .
Be it enacted by the Madhya Pradesh Legislature in the seventy- second year of the Republic of India as follows :-
1. (1) This Act may be called the Madhya Pradesh Vishwavidyalaya (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam , Short title and commencement. 2021 .
(2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Madhya Pradesh Gazette.
Amendment of Second Schedule .
2. In column (2) of Part II of the Second Schedule to the Madhya Pradesh Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam , 1973 (No. 22 of 1973 ) ( hereinafter referred to as the principal Act) , for the words "Chhindwara University, Chhindwara " the words "Raja Shankar Shah University, Chhindwara " shall be substituted .
Construction of referrences to Chhindwara University.
3.All notification , orders , rules , byelaws , statutes , ordinance , regulations , certificates , degrees , diplomas or any other document whatsoever issued, made or prescribed under any enactment , which immediately before the commencement of the Madhya Pradesh Vishwavidyalaya (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2021 were in force or otherwise , shall be construed as if references therein to the Chhindwara University were reference to the Raja Shankar Shah University.
STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS
A new university " Chhindwara University " has been established at Chhindwara District Headquarters to provide easy access to higher education to the youth residing in Seoni, Chhindwara , Balaghat and Betul districts of the State.
2. Establishment of Chhindwara University has an important role in providing easy access to quality education to th tribal youth residing in large numbers in these districts .
3. Raja Shankar Shah was a popular and sacrificial tribal leader in the freedom struggle , who has always been a source of inspiration for the tribal youth in this area.
4. Therefore , it is proposed to change " Chhindwara University " in the name of " Raja Shankar Shah University " for innpiration and guidance to the youth in the field of higher education.
5.Appropriate amendment is proposed in the Madhya Pradesh Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1973 (No. 22 of 1973) to change the name of the University.
6. Hence this Bill .
