THE MADHYA PRADESH VISHWAVIDYALAYA ( SANSHODHAN ) VIDHEYAK , 2022
A Bill Further to amend the Madhya Pradesh Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam , 1973.
Be it enacted by the Madhya Pradesh Legislature in the seventy- third year of the Republic of India as follows :-
Short title and commencement .
1. ( 1 ) This Act may be called the Madhya Pradesh Vishwavidyalaya ( Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam , 2022 .
(2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Madhya Pradesh Gazette .
2. In the Second Schedule to the Madhya Pradesh Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam , 1973 (No. 22 of 1973 ) ,—
Amendment of Second Schedule.
(i) in Part I , for serial number 6 and entries relating thereto , the following serial number and entries relating thereto shall be substituted , namely:-

STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS
In the Madhya Pradesh Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam , 1973 ( No. 23 of 1973 ) , the territorial jurisdiction of Raja Shankar Shah Vishwavidyalaya, Chhindwara includes Seoni , Balaghat and Chhindwara of Jabalpur division and one district Betul of Narmadapuram division , The remaining districts Hoshangabad and Harda of Narmadapuram division are included in the territorial jurisdiction of Barkatullah Vishwavidyalya, Bhopal . In view of ease of transportation and administrative convenience , it is proposed to re- incorporate Betul district in Barkatullah University, Bhopal . Therefore , suitable amendments are proposed in the Madhya Pradesh Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam , 1973 (No. 23 of 1973 ) .
2. Hence this Bill.
