THE MADHYA PRADESH TENDU PATTA ( VYAPAR VINIYAMAN) SANSHODHAN VIDHEYAK , 2022
A Bill further to amend the Madhya Pradesh TenduPatta (Vyapar Viniyaman ) Adhiniyam, 1964.
Be it enacted by the Madhya Pradesh Legislature in the seventy- third year of the Republic of India as follows :-
Short title .
1. This Act may be called the Madhya Pradesh Tendu Patta ( Vyapar Viniyaman) Sanshodhan Adhiniyam , 2022.
Amendment of section 15 .
2. In section 15 of the Madhya Pradesh Tendu Patta ( Vyapar Viniyaman) Adhiniyam , 1964 (No. 29 of 1964), for clause ( a ) , the following clause shall be substituted, namely: --
" (a) he shall be punishable with fine which shall not be less than five thousand rupees and may extend to fifty thousand rupees; " .
STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS
"Ease of doing business " is an important factor that helps in the faster economic growth of Nation and State . In view of this , acts involving financial losses only should be decriminalized . Therefore , it is being proposed to amend section 15 of the Madhya Pradesh Tendu Patta ( Vyapar Viniyaman ) Adhiniyam , 1964 (No. 29 of 1964 ) suitably so that punishment of imprisonment is removed and only punishment of penalty is proposed in case of offence involving Tendu Patta.
2. Hence this Bill .
