अधिसूचना
क्रमांक रानिआ-२०१८/प्र.क्र. ६८/कार्या-३७.--- महाराष्ट्राच्या राज्यपालांनी खालीलप्रमाणे दिलेले आदेश हे सर्वसामान्य माहितीकरिता प्रसिद्ध करण्यात येत आहेत :----
आदेश
भारतीय राज्य घटनेच्या अनुच्छेद २४३-के व अनुच्छेद २४३-झेड ए आणि महाराष्ट्र राज्य निवडणूक आयुक्त (अर्हता व नियुक्ती) अधिनियम, १९९४ मधील तरतुदीस अनुसरून श्री. यु. पी. एस. मदान यांची दिनांक ५ सप्टेंबर, २०१९ पासून किंवा त्यानंतर त्या ज्या तारखेला कार्यालयात आपल्या पदाचा कार्यभार घेतील, त्या तारखेपासून राज्य निवडणूक आयुक्त म्हणून महाराष्ट्राचे राज्यपाल त्यांची नेमणूक करीत आहेत. श्री. यु. पी. एस. मदान हे सदर पदाचा कार्यभार स्वीकारतील त्या दिनांकापासून ५ वषार्ंकरिता हे पद धारण करतील आणि ते पुर्ननियुक्तीस पात्र असणार नाहीत. त्यांच्या सेवेच्या इतर अटी व शर्ती ह्य राज्य निवडणूक आयुक्त (अर्हता व नियुक्ती) अधिनियम, १९९४ मधील तरतुदीनुसार असतील.
२. राज्य निवडणूक आयुक्तांवर जिल्हा परिषद, पंचायत समित्या, ग्रामपंचायती, नगरपालिका व महानगरपालिका यांच्या मतदार याद्या तयार करण्याबाबतचे अधिक्षण, संचालन व नियंत्रण तसेच त्यांच्या निवडणुका घेण्याची जबाबदारी राहील.

NOTIFICATION
No. SEC-2018/C.R. No. 68/37.— The following Order made by the Governor is published for General Information :—
ORDER
In Pursuance of the provisions of article 243-K read with article 243-ZA of the constitution of India and the Maharashtra State Election Commissioner (Qualification and Appointment) Act, 1994, the Governor of Maharashtra is pleased to hereby appoint Shri U. P. S. Madan as the State Election Commissioner with effect from the date 5th September 2019 or the date he assumes the said office. Shri U. P. S. Madan shall hold office for a term of five years from the date on which he enters upon his office and shall not be eligible for reappointment. The terms and conditions of his service shall be in accordance with the provisions of the State Election Commissioner (Qualification and Appointment) Act, 1994.
The State Election Commissioner shall be responsible for the superintendence, direction and control of the preparation of electoral rolls, and the conduct of all elections to the Zilla Parishads, Panchayat Samitees, Gram Panchayats, Municipal Corporations and Councils.
