NOTIFICATION
MAHARASHTRA ZILLA PARISHADS (PRESIDENT, VICE PRESIDENT AND CHAIRMEN OF SUBJECTS
COMMITTEES) AND PANCHAYAT SAMITIS (CHAIRMAN AND DEPUTY CHAIRMAN) (RESERVATION OF
OFFICES AND ELECTION) RULES, 1962.
No. ZPE-2018/CR-215/PR-2.—In pursuance of the provisions of rule 2A of The Maharashtra Zilla Parishads (President, Vice President and Chairmen of Subjects Committees) and Panchayat Samitis (Chairman and Deputy Chairman) (Reservation of Offices and Election) Rules, 1962, the Government of Maharashtra hereby,-
(a) specifies, for the period commencing from the day immediately following the day of expiry of the terms of existing reservation of office of the President of Zilla Parishads, the number of offices of the President in Zilla Parishads in the State to be reserved for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, the category of Backward Class of Citizens (including Vimukta Jatis and Nomadic Tribes) and women (including the women belonging to the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and the category of the Backward Class of Citizens (including Vimukta Jatis and Nomadic Tribes)) as shown in columns (1) to (6) and (8) in the Schedule appended hereto;
(b) directs that, the number of offices specified in column (7) of the said Schedule shall be unreserved for the said period as specified in clause (a) above.

No. ZPE-2018/CR-215/PR-2.—Whereas, by the Government Notification, Rural Develop- ment Department, dated 4th December, 2019 the Government of Maharashtra has specified, for the period commencing from the day immediately following the day of expiry of the terms of existing reservation of office of President of Zilla Parishad, the number of offices of President in Zilla Parishads in the State to be reserved for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, the category of Backward Class of Citizens (including Vimukta Jatis and Nomadic Tribes) and women [(including the women belonging to the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and the category of the Backward Class of Citizens (including Vimukta Jatis and Nomadic Tribes)] in the manner as shown in the Schedule appended thereto ;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the provisions of rules 2B, 2C and 2D of The Maharashtra Zilla Parishads (President, Vice-President and Chairmen of Subjects Committees) and Panchayat Samitis (Chairman and Deputy Chairman) (Reservation of Offices and Election) Rules, 1962, the Government of Maharashtra hereby allots, for the period commencing from the day immediately following the day of expiry of the terms of existing reservation of office of President of Zilla Parishad, the number of offices of President in Zilla Parishads in the State to be reserved for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, the category of Backward Class of Citizens (including Vimukta Jatis and Nomadic Tribes) and women [including the women belonging to the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and the category of the Backward Class of Citizens (including Vimukta Jatis and Nomadic Tribes)] in the manner as shown in the Schedule appended hereto and directs that the other offices than those so reserved, shall be unreserved.
