Under Section 9(2) of the Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats and Industrial Townships Act, 1965 taking into consideration population figures of Census of India, 2011 (including the population of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Class of Citizens), the number of elected Councillors in respect of Wadi Nagar Parishad Area in Nagpur District is fixed as mentioned in the following table.
Similarly, the number of seats to be reserved for Women (including the seats belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes of Citizens) and the number of seats to the reserved for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Class of Citizens are also fixed as mentioned in the Table.

Note.—Since only one post of Scheduled Tribe is payable in Wadi Municipal Council and in the last General Election, 2015, this place has been used for general category of Scheduled Tribe category. Note.—Earlier, in the nearest General Election, the available seats for the Scheduled Castes have been used for the general public in this category.
