ज्याअर्थी, मुंबई महानगर प्रदेश विर्िनदिष्ट वस्तुच्या बाजारपेठा (स्थल नियमन) अधिनियम, १९८३ (१९८३ चा महाराष्ट्र अधिनियम क्रमांक ४२) (यात यापुढे ज्याचा निर्देश " उक्त अधिनियम " असा करण्यात आला आहे) च्या कलम ११ अन्वये प्रदान करण्यात आलेल्या अधिकारांचा वापर करून महानगर आयुक्त यांनी दिनांक २३ मार्च २०१७ रोजी प्रसिद्ध केलेल्या शासन राजपत्र क्रमांक भूवमिशा/मु.म.प्र.लो.व.पो.बा.स./ अधिसूचना/६४९/२०१७ अन्वये, मुंबई महानगर प्रदेश लोखंड व पोलाद बाजार समितीवर (यात यापुढे ज्याचा निर्देश " उक्त बाजार समिती " असा करण्यात आला आहे) दिनांक ७ फेब्रुवारी २०१७ ते ६ फेब्रुवारी २०२१ या कालावधीकरिता, निवडून आलेल्या व नामनिर्देशित सदस्यांची नावे प्रसिद्ध केली आहेत ;
आणि ज्याअर्थी, निवडून आलेल्या सदस्यांपैकी, श्री. सज्जनकुमार गुप्ता यांचे निधन झाल्याने स्थान रिक्त झाले आहे ;
आणि ज्याअर्थी, उक्त अधिनियमाच्या कलम १६ मधील तरतुदीनुसार, उक्त बाजार समितीमधील कोणत्याही कारणामुळे रिक्त झालेले प्रासंगिक स्थान निवडणुकीने अथवा नामनिर्देशनाने अथवा नियुक्तीने त्या-त्या प्रकरणी उक्त अधिनियमाच्या कलम ९ चे उप-कलम (१) मध्ये नमूद केल्यानुसार, स्थान रिक्त झाल्यापासून ४५ दिवसांच्या आत भरणे आवश्यक आहे ;
आणि ज्याअर्थी, महानगर आयुक्तांनी दिनांक ९ ऑगस्ट २०१९ च्या सूचनेद्वारे बाजार समितीवरील रिक्त स्थान भरण्याकरिता पोट-निवडणूक कार्यक्रम जाहीर केला आणि श्री. प्रशांत हेमंत पारेख हे उक्त बाजार समितीचे निवडून आलेले सदस्य आहेत.
त्याअर्थी आता, उक्त अधिनियमाच्या कलम ११ द्वारे प्रदान करण्यात आलेल्या अधिकारांचा वापर करुन महानगर आयुक्त याद्वारे श्री. प्रशांत हेमंत पारेख यांची, उक्त अधिनियमाचे कलम ९ चे पोट-कलम (१) खाली उक्त बाजार समितीवर सध्याचा कार्यकाळ संपेपयर्ंत सदस्य म्हणून नेमणूक करीत आहेत.

Whereas, the Metropolitan Commissioner had, in exercise his powers conferred under the Section 11 of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Specified Commodities Markets (Regulation of Location) Act, 1983 (Maharashtra Act No.XLII of 1983) (hereinafter referred to as " the said Act ") published the Notification No. L & EC/MMRI & SMC/Notification/649/2017 in the Government Gazette on 23rd March 2017 and published the names of the members of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Iron & Steel Market Committee (hereinafter referred to as "the said Market Committee") duly elected and nominated for the period of four years w.e.f. 7th February 2017 to 6th February 2021 ;
And Whereas, one of the elected member of said Market Committee, Shri Sajjan Kumar Gupta has been expired on 11th June 2019 and casual vacancy is occurred ;
And Whereas, as per the provision of Section 16 of the said act, casual vacancy of member occurring in the committee due to a reason whatsoever shall be filled by election or nomination or appointment, as the case may be as provided in sub-section (1) of section 9, within forty-five days of the occurrence of the vacancy ;
And Whereas, by the notice dated 9th August 2019 the Metropolitan Commissioner declared the bye-election programme for electing one member of the said Market Committee, and Shri Prashant Hemant Parekh is elected as member of said Market Committee.
Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 11 of the said Act, the Metropolitan Commissioner, hereby appoints Shri Prashant Hemant Parekh as member of said Market Committee under sub-section (1) of Section 9 of the said Act till expiry of the period of present Committee.
