मोटार वाहन अधिनियम, १९८८.
क्रमांक एमसीटी १०२०/प्र.क्र.१००/परिवहन-५.– ज्याअर्थी, राज्यात अपर जिल्हा न्यायाधीश, सह जिल्हा न्यायाधीश व जिल्हा न्यायाधीश यांच्या पदाशी समतुल्य असलेले सदस्य आणि उक्त तक्त्यामध्ये नमूद के लेल्या (यात यापुढे ज्याचा "उक्त तक्ता" असा निर्देश करण्यात आलेला आहे.) व यासोबत जोडलेल्या, उक्त तक्त्यात नमूद के लेल्या वेगवेग(cid:२०८)या तालुक्याच्या ठिकाणी न्यायालयाच्या प्रादेशिक अधिकारितेसह, प्रादेशिक अधिकारिता असलेल्या सर्व समव्यापी क्षेत्रात पदस्थापित के लेल्या सदस्यांचा अंतर्भाव असलेल्या अतिरिक्त मोटार अपघात दावा न्यायाधिकरणाची स्थापना करण्याचे ठरविण्यात आले आहे;
त्याअर्थी, आता मोटार वाहन अधिनियम, १९८८ (१९८८ चा ५९ ) याच्या कलम १६५ च्या पोट-कलम (एक) (cid:४६२)ारे प्रदान करण्यात आलेल्या अधिकारांचा वापर करुन महाराष्ट्र शासन या(cid:४६२)ारे,–
(अ) अपघाताच्या बाबतीतील, नुकसानभरपाईसाठी ज्यामध्ये मोटार वाहनाच्या वापरामुळे व्यक्तींना मृत्यू किंवा शारीरिक इजा पोहचणे किंवा एखाद्या त्रयस्थ व्यक्तींच्या कोणत्याही मालमत्तेस हानी पोहचणे किंवा दोन्हीही बाबतीतील दाव्यांवर अभिनिर्णय देण्याच्या प्रयोजनार्थ उक्त तक्त्यांच्या स्तंभ (३) मध्ये दर्शविण्यात आलेल्या क्षेत्रासाठी स्तंभ (२) मध्ये दर्शविलेल्या ठिकाणी मोटार अपघात दावा न्यायाधिकरणाची स्थापना करीत आहे; आणि
(ब) अतिरिक्त जिल्हा न्यायाधीशांच्या दर्जाच्या अधिकाऱ्याशी समतुल्य असलेले सदस्य आणि वर उल्लेख के लेले उक्त तक्त्यामधील स्तंभ (२) मध्ये नमूद के लेल्या उक्त ठिकाणी पदस्थापित के लेले, त्या पदाचा भार वेळोवेळी ग्रहण के ल्याचे समजण्यात येणारे अतिरिक्त जिल्हा न्यायाधीश यांचा संबंधित मोटार अपघात दावा न्यायाधिकरणात समावेश करण्याचा निदेश देत आहे :-

NOTIFICATION
MOTOR VEHICLES ACT, 1988.
No.MCT-1020/C.R.100/Transport-5.–Whereas, it has been decided to constitute Additional Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal within the State consisting of number of Members, equivalent to Additional District Judge, Joint District Judge and District Judge and posted at those places, mentioned in the Table (hereinafter referred "the said table") attached hereto, having territorial jurisdiction over the area co-extensive with the territorial jurisdiction of the Court, at various taluka places mentioned in the said Table,
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 165 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (59 of 1988), the Government of Maharashtra hereby,––
(a) constitutes Motor Accidents Claims Tribunals at the places indicated in column (2) for the areas mentioned in column (3) of the said Table, for the purpose of adjudicating upon claims for compensation, in respect of accidents involving the death of, or bodily injury to persons, arising out of use of Motor Vehicles, or damages to any property of a third party so arising, or both; and (b) directs that the respective Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal shall consist of one number of Member equivalent to the officer of the rank of Additional District Judge, and above, posted at the said places mentioned in column (2) of the said Table, from time to time, who shall be deemed to have assumed the charge thereof on the day they assume charge of post of Additional District Judge at those places :-
