NOTIFICATION
BOMBAY PUBLIC TRUST ACT , 1950 .
No. DMC - 1219/1030/C.R. 224/Desk - 16.- Whereas, the Government of Maharashtra has appointed DevasthanManagement Committee , Western Maharashtra , Kolhapur , by Government Notification , Law and Judiciary Department , No. 11685 - P, dated the 2nd May 1969 , read with Government Notification , Law and Judiciary Department , No. 12610 - P , dated the 15 May 1969 .
And whereas , the Government of Maharashtra , by its Notification , Law and Judiciary Department , No. 12467 - P , dated the 14th May 1969 , has transferred the Management of the endowments specified in the Schedule to the said Notification , as amended from time to time , to the Devasthan Management Committee , Western Maharashtra , Kolhapur ;
And whereas , all the existing members of the Devasthan Management Committee (including Chairman and Treasurer ) have been appointed by various notifications of Government of Maharashtra , in its Law and Judiciary Department , namely No. DMC- 1216/ C.R . 103/Desk -XVI , Dated 29th November 2016 ; No. DMC - 1217 / 70 ( VIP )/C.R . 135 /Desk- XVI , Dated 16th August 2017 ; No.DMC - 1219 / 17 ( VIP )/C.R . 41 / Desk- XVI , Dated 25th July 2019 ; No. DMC - 1219/46 ( VIP )/C.R . 159 / Desk- XVI , Dated 18th September 2019, for a period of 5 years from the date of concerned notification and one member i.e. Shri . Subhash Babubhai Vora , is no more ;
And whereas , the Government of Maharashtra is of opinion that for better management and administration of the endowments , the management of the endowments should be taken over temporarily by the State Government under section 56 - RR of the Bombay Public Trusts Act , 1950 ( Bom.XXIX of 1950) ;
Now, therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section ( 1) of section 56 RR of the Bombay Public Trust Act , 1950 ( Bom . XXIX of1950 ) and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf , the Government of Maharashtra hereby , -

(a) terminates the appointment of all existing members (including the Chairman and Treasurer) ofthe Devasthan Management Committee on and from the date of issuance of this notification , whereupon they shall be deemed to have vacated their office on that date : and
(b) appoints , from the said date , District Collector , Kolhapur as Administrator of the Devasthan ManagementCommittee , initially for a period of one year from the said date , subject to the provisions of the said section 56 RR .
