PREVANTION OF CORRUPTION ACT , 1988 .
No. SPC . 1321 /C.R.91 /D - IX . Whereas vide Government Resolutions CRC.1098/ 750 /( 60 ) -TX , dated 22nd October 2007 , CRC . 1009/C.R.80/9 , dated 16th November 2010 and SPC.1313/C.R.64/IX , dated 2nd May 2013 issued by the Government of Maharashtra , Special Courts are established at Mumbai , Pune , Nagpur and Amravati for trial of cases exclusively investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation ( CBI ) ;
And whereas , the Registrar General , High Court of Bombay vide letter dated 21st July 2021 has requested the Government in Law and Judiciary Department to appoint the Judges mentioned in column ( 1) , in place of the Judges mentioned in the column (4 ) of the Schedule below , to deal with and try the cases filed under the Prevention of Corruption Act , 1988 , investigated by the CBI ;
Now , therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1) of section 3 of the Prevention of Corruption Act , 1988 (Act 49 of 1988 ) , the Government of Maharashtra , on recommendation of the Bombay High Court , appoints the following City Civil Court and Additional Sessions Judges mentioned in column ( 1) of the Schedule appended hereto , as Special Judges in the district shown against their names in column ( 2) of the Schedule , for the areas shown against their names in column ( 3) of the Schedule , in place of the Judges in column (4) of the schedule , for exclusive trial of corruption cases investigated by the CBI .
