In exercise of the provisions contained in Sub-Regulation 3 of Regulation 7 of the Indian Forest Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1966, Union Public Service Commission has approved the Select List for promotion from State Forest Service of Maharashtra Cadre to the Indian Forest Service for the Select List 2019 and 2020 containing the names of the following officers of the State Forest Service of Maharashtra Cadre, towards filling up of promotion quota vacancies available in Maharashtra Cadre, of the Indian Forest Service.

NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the provisions conferred by Rule 8 of the Indian Forest Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1966, read with sub-regulations (1) of Regulation 9 of the Indian Forest Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulation, 1966, the President is pleased to appoint with immediate effect the following 17 (Seventeen) officers of the State Forest Service of Maharashtra to the Indian Forest Service on the basis of inclusion of their names in the Select List for the year 2019 and 2020 by the Selection Committee in its meeting held on 2nd September 2021, and to allocate them to Maharashtra Cadre of Indian Forest Service under sub-rule (1) of Rule 5 of the Indian Forest Service (Cadre) Rules, 1966.
