BY DIRECTOR PROJECT, MAHARASHTRA METRO RAIL CORPORATION LIMITED MODIFICATION U/S 37 OF MAHARASHTRA REGIONAL & TOWN PLANNING ACT, 1966

NOTICE

No. Maha-Metro-TPO-HD-6192-2022.—

The Final Development Plan of Nagpur Metropolitan Area prepared under the provisions of Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966 has been sanctioned by Government vide Urban Development Department Notification No. TPS-2416-C.R.-122(A)-2016-SM-UD-9, dated the 5th January 2018 and TPS-2416-CR-122(B) E. P.-2016-UD-9, dated the 21st February, 2019. Also, Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited has been declared as "Special Planning Authority" in respect of areas as per schedule appended vide Govt. Notification No. TPS-2417-183-CR-172-2017-UD-9, dated 11th June 2018. Land bearing Kh. No. 18, Mouza Nildoh reserved for Metro Depot West-A-METD001 is included in the said schedule and therefore, Maha-Metro being Special Planning Authority for the said Land, is empowered to initiate modification proposal under Section 37 of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966 to the Development Plan of Nagpur Metropolitan Area in respect of the said land.

In the said Final Sanctioned Development Plan, the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited is desirous of making some modification u/s 37 of Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966 for the purpose of utilization of land for generation of Non-Farebox Revenue for Operation and Maintenance of Nagpur Metro along with expansion of Depot facilities for future extension of Metro network. Accordingly, Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited vide approval dated 12th August 2022 consented to make the aforesaid modification in Development Plan of Nagpur Metropolitan Area. The aforesaid modification aproposed is as under,–

The Part Plan of Sanctioned Development Plan of Nagpur Metropolitan Area showing the proposed modification is displayed in the Office of the Town Planning Officer, Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited, Metro Bhavan, VIP Road, Near Dikshabhoomi, Ramdaspeth, Nagpur-440010 during office hours on all working days. The suggestions and objections (in writing) which may be received by Town Planning Officer, Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited in respect of the said modification to the Sanctioned Development Plan of Nagpur Metropolitan Area within a period of one month from the date of publication of this notie in the Official Gazette will be considered. After hearing and final decision on suggestions and objections, the said modification proposal will be submitted to the Government for sanction.
