NOTIFICATION

MAHARASHTRA FORESTS PRODUCE (REGULATION OF TRADE) ACT, 1969.

No. Tendua -2023-C.R.-195-F-9--- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1), (2) and (5) of the section 6 of the Maharashtra Forests Produce (Regulation of Trade)Act, 1969 (Mah. LVII of 1969), the Government of Maharashtra hereby constitutes the Advisory Committee in respect of Tembhurni/Tendu (Diospyros melanoxylon) for the Year commencing on the 1st July 2023 and ending the 30th June, 2024 for the purpose of advising the State Government in the matter of :-

(i) Fixation of a fair and reasonable price at which the Tembhurni /Tendu (Diospyros melanoxylon) leaves may be purchased by the State Government or its authorised officers or agent appointed for the purpose, and

(ii) Fixation of charges of collection of the aforesaid leaves from Government lands.

The constitution of the said Advisory Committee shall remain as follows :-

(A) Representatives of the Government

(1) Additional Principle Chief Conservator of Forests — Chairman (NTFP), Maharashtra State, Nagpur.

(3) Shri. Yera Shivram Pocham, Tamdala, Tq. Sironcha, —Member ` Gadchiroli.

(4) Shri. Ganesh Pocham Madavi, Chiddur, Tq. Sironcha, —Member Gadchiroli.

(5) Shri. Bandu Mara Gawade, Rompalli, Tq. Sironcha, —Member Gadchiroli.

(C) Representatives of Tendu Leaves Exporters/Bidi Manufacturer

(6) Shri. Naagin Chunnalalji Puglia, Roshanvilla, Rajmajali —Member Puglia Nagar, Civil Lines, Chandrapur.

(7) Shri. Rameshkumar Gangaram Asnani, Amba Enterprises, —Member Tendu Contractors, Res. Navin City Badnera, Dist. Amravati.

(D) Representatives of Tribal Labourers

(8) Shri. Dhansingh Ramkisan Uike, At. Tumdikasa, —Member Post. Kakodi, Tal. Dindori, Dist. Gondia.

(E) Village Forest Committee

The Chief Conservator of Forests (Territorial), Nagpur Circle, Nagpur will be the Member Secretary of this Committee.

The Committee shall tender it's advice to the Government on or before 22nd December, 2023.
