No. Petrol-2024/C.R.16/C.S.27.—Whereas, Employees of M/s Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. in non-management cadre are being exhorted by their union viz. M/s.Bharat Petroleum Technical and Non-Technical Employees (BPTNTEA), M/s Bharat Petroleum Corporation (Refinery) Employees Union (BPCREU) and M/s Petroleum Workers Unions (PWU) to proceed on strike of 2 days i.e. on 16th February to 17th February, 2024 for their various demands. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. which will lead to disruption of supply and distribution of Petroleum Products such as LPG, Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene etc. and will also cause great hardship & inconvenience to General Public at large during the period of strike;
२ महाराष्ट्र शासन राजपत्र असाधारण भाग चार-क, फेब्रुवारी १५, २०२४/माघ २६, शके १९४५ and M/s Petroleum Workers Unions (PWU) as prejudicial to the supply, storage and distribution of Essential Commodities (Petroleum Products) such as LPG, Petrol, Diesel, CNG, Kerosene etc. and as an offence under the Essential Commodities Act,1955.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2)(d)(e) of section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act,1955 (10 of 1955), the Government of Maharashtra hereby declares the following act or acts done by an individual or group of individuals of M/s Bharat Petroleum Technical and Non-Technical Employees (BPTNTEA), M/s Bharat Petroleum Corporation (Refinery) Employees Union (BPCREU) and M/s Petroleum Workers Unions (PWU) as an offence under the Essential Commodities Act,1955.
"Obstruction or interruption caused by any direct or indirect means in the process or to a person engaged in the process of production, storage, transportation and sale of petroleum and petroleum products such as LPG, Petrol, diesel, Kerosene etc. notified as essential commodities by Government of India."
This order shall come into force on 16th February to 17th February, 2024 i.e. on the day of strike of employees of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. in non-management cadre.
