AAdhAAr (TArgeTed delivery of finAnciAl And oTher SubSidieS, benefiTS And ServiceS) AcT, 2016.

No. MPSC-1121/C.R.86/MPSC, General Administration Department.— Whereas, the Government of India has, vide its Office Memorandum, Ministry Electronics and Information Technology, File No. 13(4)/2020- EG-II (Vol-V), dated the 24th August 2022, conveyed the approval of the Unique Identification Authority of India to the General Administration Department, Government of Maharashtra, for use of Aadhaar authentication, on voluntary basis, by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission for authentication of candidates during various stages of recruitment examinations conducted by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission subject to the guidelines given in the said Office Memorandum dated the 24th August 2022, in terms of rule 5 of the Aadhaar Authentication for Good Governance (Social Welfare, Innovation, Knowledge) Rules, 2020 (hereinafter referred to as "the said rules") read with sub-clause (ii) of clause (b) of sub-section (4) of section 4 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 (18 of 2016) (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act").

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the powers conferred by sub-clause (ii) of clause (b) of sub-section (4) of section 4 of the said Act and rule 5 of the said Rules, the Government of Maharashtra, being authorised by the Government of India in this behalf, hereby notifies the Maharashtra Public Service Commission to perform Aadhaar Authentication, on voluntary basis, for eKYC services for authentication of candidates during various stages of recruitment examinations conducted by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission.
