No. SPP.2024/U.O.R.124/D-XIV.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (8) of the section 24 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act No.2 of 1974) and section 15 of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities Act, 1989), the Government of Maharashtra hereby appoints Adv. Kaushik Madan Mhatre as "Special Public Prosecutor" for conducting the case/s pending before Hon'ble Sessions Court, Panvel, Dist. Raigad which is/are arising out of C.R.No.216/2024 registered at Uran Police Station, Navi Mumbai.

2. The fees of Adv. Kaushik Madan Mhatre as "Special Public Prosecutor" shall be paid by Home Department as per the fee proposal agreed by Home Department and approved by this Department. 3. His appointment is strictly subject to the conditions of service laid down in the Maharashtra Law Officers (Appointment, Condition of Service and Remuneration) Rules, 1984 and The Rules For The Conduct Legal Affairs of Government, 1984.

4. The Government reserves the right to revoke/modify/annul the order without assigning any reasons.
