NOTIFICATION

No. MCO-2025/Pro. No. 242/Navi-14 dated 10 June 2025 The State Government with approval of State Election Commission, Maharashtra proposes to make the following Draft Notification under section 5 (3) of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act, (Bom LIX of 1949) (hereinafter referred to as the "said Act") to fix for the Chhatrapati Sambhajingar Municipal Corporation, the number and the extent of the wards into which the said municipal area shall be divided, as shown in the Schedule to this Draft order.

2. And whereas the said Draft Order is hereby published as required by the section 5 (3) of the said Act for information of all the residents within the jurisdiction of the- Chhatrapati Sambhajingar Municipal Corporation. And Whereas, vide Urban Development Department order No. MCO-2025/ Pro. No. 242/Navi-14 dated 10 June 2025. The State Government Maharashtra, has delegated its powers to Muncipal Commissioner, Chhatrapati Sambhajingar Municipal Corporation to publish the draft in the Official Gazette. Accordingly this Draft Notification is being published and the said draft will be taken into consideration by the State Government with the Approval of the State Election Commission, Maharashtra or an officer authorised by it for this purpose after 04/09/2025.

3. And whereas, all persons who desire to raise any objections or suggestions to this draft should submit the same to the Muncipal Commissioner, Chhatrapati Sambhajingar Municipal Corporation, in writing with reasons on or before dated- 22 Aug 2025 04 September 2025. Objections or suggestions received thereafter will not be considered.

Whereas, State Government with the Approval of the State Election Commission, Maharashtra has specified for Chhatrapati Sambhajingar Municipal Corporation, under Section 5 of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporations Act, the Number of Councillors to be elected and number of wards as follows.

2. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers under section 5 (3) of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act, The State Election Commission, Maharashtra State hereby fix the number and extent of the wards into which the said Municipal corporation area shall be divided as shown in the schedule to this Notification.

3. This Notification shall take effect for the purpose of the next general election held immediately following the date of this Notification.
