Maharashtra Prohibition act, 1949.

No. MIS-0421/C.R.87/Exc-I.— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Maharashtra Prohibition Act, 1949 (XXV of 1949), and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf and in supersession of all earlier orders issued in this behalf, the Government of Maharashtra is hereby pleased to invest the Additional Chief Secretary or Principal Secretary or Secretary, (State Excise) Home Department, as the case may be, with all the powers, duties and functions of the State Government under sub-sections (2) of section 137 and section 138 of the said Act and the rules, regulations and orders made thereunder.
