NOTICE

Publication of Draft Development Plan of Kankavli Nagar Panchayat Under Section 26(1) of Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966.

क्रमांाक कणकली वियो/प्रावियो/कलीमां २६/प्रावि द्धी/३२३.—Whereas the Kankavli Nagar Panchayat, (hereinafter referred to as "the said Planning Authority",) are vide resolution No. 43, dated 30th December 2019 declared its intention to prepare a Draft Development plan of Kankavli Nagar Panchayat (hereinafter referred to as the " said Draft Development plan ") for the area under its jurisdiction, (hereinafter referred to as the said " area ") as per the provision of section 23(1) read with section 21(2) of Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966 (hereinafter referred to as the " said Act ") and notice to that effect is published in Maharashtra Government Gazette, Konkan Division, Part II on 3rd September - 9th September 2020;

And whereas, as per the provision in section 24 of the said Act, the Municipal Council dated/ Nagar Panchayat vide order dated 20th April 2021 has appointed Assistant Director, Town Planning, Sindhudurg Branch, Sindhudurg as " Town Planning officer " to prepare said draft Development Plan for the said area ;

And whereas, the Town Planning Officer and Assistant Director, Town Planning, Sindhudurg Branch, Sindhudurg has prepared the said Draft Development Plan of the said area and has handed it over to the said Planning Authority on 07th April 2025 for publication under section 26(1) of the said act, for inviting suggestions/objections from the public ;

And whereas, the said Planning Authority has failed to publish the said draft Development Plan under section 26(1) of the said Act, within the time limit i.e. upto 10th April 2025 ;

And whereas, the Joint Director of Town Planning, Konkan Division, Navi-Mumbai by his order No. 816, dated 29th May 2025 has appointed Assistant Director, Town Planning, Sindhudurg Branch, Sindhudurg as an " Officer " as per the provisions of Sec. 21(4A) of the said Act, to exercise the powers of the said Planning Authority and complete the legal procedure required under section 26 and upto section 30 of the said Act, within 1 Year from the date of appointment ;

And whereas, the said Officer, being Planning Authority has passed Resolution No. 01 dated 24th Febuary 2026 to publish the said Draft Development Plan u/s 26 (1) of the said Act. Therefore, I, the under signed, as an " Officer ", here by publish the said Draft Development Plan is being u/s 26 (1) of the said Act, for inviting suggestions/objections from public. The copy of the said Draft Development Plan & report thereof are kept open for inspection of the public at the following offices on all working days during office hours:-

(1) Joint Director, Town planning , Konkan Division , Navi Mumbai, 305, 3rd Floor , Konkan Bhavan, Navi Mumbai 400 614.

(2) Assistant Director, Town Planning, Sindhudurg Branch, Sindhudurgnagri Pradhikaran, Administrative Building, C Block, First Floor, Sindhudurg 416 812.

(3) The Chief Officer, Kankavli Nagar Panchayat.

The suggestions/objections, if any, in writing from public in this regard with reasons, shall be submitted to the said Officer having his office at Assistant Director, Town Planning, Sindhudurg Branch, Sindhudurg, Administrative Building, C Block, First Floor, Sindhudurgnagari, Tal. Kudal, Dist - Sindhudurg within a period of 30 days from the date of publication of this notice in the Maharashtra Government Gazette.
