NOTIFICATION

Maharashtra Professional educational institutions (regulation of adMissions) and unaided Private Professional educational institutions (regulation of fees) act, 2015.

No. Shunipra-2026/C.R.181/TE-4.— Whereas, the Government of Maharashtra has, vide Government Notification, Higher and Technical Education Department, No.MISC-2015/(72/15)/T.E.- 4, dated the 18th March 2016 (hereinafter referred to as "the said notification"), issued in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1), (2), (3) and (4) of section 11 read with section 12 of the Maharashtra Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) and Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Fees) Act, 2015 (Mah. XXVIII of 2015) (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), constituted the Fees Regulating Authority (hereinafter referred to as "the said Authority") to exercise the powers conferred on and discharge the functions assigned to it under the said Act;

And whereas, term of office of the Chairperson and some of the Members of the said Authority has expired;

And whereas, the Government of Maharashtra considers it expedient to appoint the Chairperson and Members on the said Authority, as per the provisions of clauses (a), (b), (c), (d) and (e) of sub-section (3) of section 11 of the said Act.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (3) and (4) of section 11 read with section 12 of the Maharashtra Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) and Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Fees) Act, 2015, the Government of Maharashtra hereby appoints Shri Shekhar Channe, Retired Secretary as a Chairperson and Dr. Murlidhar Govindrao Chandekar, Former Vice-Chancellor, Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University, Amravati, Shri Shrikant Mohan Limaye, Chartered Accountant, Shri Ashwin Madhusudan Solanki, Cost Accountant, Shri Dattatray Vyankatrao Jadhav, Expert in Professional Education as the Members of the said Fees Regulating Authority, as per the respective provisions of clauses (a), (b), (c), (d) and (e) of sub-section (3) of section 11 of the said Act, for the term of three years from the date they assumes their offices or until they attains the age of seventy years, whichever is earlier and for that purpose, amends the said notification as follows, namely:-
