NOTIFICATION
EmployEEs' providEnt Funds and miscEllanEous provisions act, 1952.
No. EPF-2026/C.R.17/Labour-4.—Whereas, by Government Notification, Labour Department, No. EPF/1159/155016-Lab-I, dated the 18th August, 1960, issued under clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 17 of the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 (19 of 1952), the Government of Maharashtra had exempted M/s. The Bombay Oil Industries Pvt. Ltd., 411, Shah & Nahar (Worli) Industrial Estate,Dr. E.Moses Road, Worli Naka, Mumbai 400 018 (MH/THA/909) from the operation of the Employees' Provident Fund Scheme, 1952 with the effect of 1st August 1956 subject to the conditions specified in the Schedule annexed to the said Notification ;
And whereas, the said establishment has passed a resolution to voluntarily surrender the said exemption with effect from the 8th May, 2015, and the entire accumulated provident fund balances of the members have been transferred to the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation. Further, on the recommendation of the Central Board of Trustees, the Central Provident Fund Commissioner has recommended cancellation of the exemption granted to the said establishment.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (4) of section 17 of the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 (19 of 1952), the Government of Maharashtra hereby cancels the exemption granted to M/s. The Bombay Oil Industries Pvt. Ltd., 411, Shah & Nahar (Worli) Industrial Estate, Dr. E. Moses Road, Worli Naka, Mumbai 400 018 (MH/ THA/909) with retrospective effect from 8th May 2015.
