NOTIFICATION

Sub: Nomenclature of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas.
No. 21740–SME-SSE-SSE-0010/2016/SME.— The concept of Model School was conceived by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of School Education and Literacy, which was delinked from the support of Government of India during the year, 2015-16 and transferred to the State/ Union Territories for further appropriate action.
The Government of Odisha took over the responsibility and established the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan on 19th day of September, 2015, a society under Society Registration Act.
Due to two types of nomenclature i.e. "Model School" and " Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya" in Revenue and other official records maintained at different level and also in the office of CBSE, confusion arises in many cases.
In order to overcome the above confusion, Government in School & Mass Education Department have decided that all the schools established in the name of "Model School," "Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya" running under the Society "Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan" and the schools proposed to be established under the society in future shall be known/ recoded for all purposes in its brand name of "Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya" followed by the detail address of the Vidyalaya where it is located.
2 ORDER Ordered that this Notification shall be published in an Extraordinary issue ofOdisha Gazette.
Also ordered that the copies of the Notification be forwarded to the Secretary to His Excellency the Governor of Odisha/ all Departments of Governments/ all Heads of Departments/ all Revenue Divisional Commissioners/ all Collectors/ Accountant general ( A & E), Odisha, Bhubaneswar.
