NOTIFICATION
The 5th April, 2019
S.R.O.No.136/2019— Whereas, the State Government have authorized carrying out of seaward Artillery Practice from the 11th March, 2016 in the notification of the Government of Odisha in the Home (Special Section) Department No. 572/C., dated the 11th March, 2016 published in the Extraordinary issue of the Odisha Gazette No. 527 dated the 19th March, 2016 bearing S.R.O. No. 126/2016 over an area specified in the schedule to the said notification;
Whereas, in view of operationalization of an all weather Port at Gopalpur and to provide anchorage area to the waiting ships, the existing Seaward Artillery Practice needs to be shifted southward of the Gopalpur Port.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section-3 of the Seaward Artillery Practice Act, 1949 (8 of 1949) read with the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Defence (Navy Branch) No. S.R.O. 1 dated the 9th January, 1980 and in supersession of the said notification of the Government of Odisha in the Home (Special Section) Department dated the 11th March, 2016, the State Government do hereby authorize carrying out of seaward artillery practice over the area specified in Schedule below for a further period of 3 (three) years commencing immediately after expiry of fourteen days from the date of publication of this notification in the Odisha Gazette till 13th April, 2022.
2 SCHEDULEThe entire area over the land and water, covering 500 meters landwards, between North-Eastern Point, latitude 19 o 14' 36", longitude 84o 53' 42" and South–Western Point, latitude 19o 12' 37" longitude 84o 51' 34" and seawards as bounded by the following lines:-
1. Line joining Point A (19 o 14' 36"N, 084o 53' 42"E) and Point B (19o 7' 23.43"N, 085o 35' 56.19"E)
2. Line joining Point A (19o 14' 36"N, 084o 53' 42"E) and Point C (18o 33' 36.66"N, 084o 53' 44.68"E)
3. An arc joining Point B (19o 7' 23.43"N, 085o 35' 56.19"E) and Point C (18o 33' 36.66"N, 084o 53' 44.68"E) with a radius of 75 Kms. from the Centre Point A (19o 14' 36"N, 084o 53' 42"E) having an internal angle
