NOTIFICATION
The 24th July 2024
S.R.O. No. 383/2024—In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 33 of the Odisha Forest Act, 1972 (Odisha Act 14 of 1972), the State Government do hereby declare that the following land situated in Village Pipalpadar under Laxmipur Tahasil in the District of Koraput mutated and transferred in the favour of Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department for raising Compensatory Afforestation thereon against the proposed diversion of 38.062 ha. of forest land (23.153 ha. in Koraput Forest Division +14.909 ha. in Rayagada Forest Division) for eastablishment Aluminium Refinery Plant at Kansariguda by M/s Hindalco Industries Limited in the Districts of Koraput and Rayagada in Odisha vide in principle approval of Government of India. MoEF&CC, Ro, Bhubaneswar communicated in Letter No.5-ORC568/2023-Bhubaneswar, dated the 29th December 2023 under Section 2 of the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980 the limits of which are specified below and the area of which is 38.5018 ha. (95.140 Ac.) shall be Protected Forest with effect from the date of issue of the Notification and shall be known as "Pipalpadar Protected Forest''.:—
