NOTIFICATION
The 24th July 2024
S.R.O. No. 384/2024—In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 33 of the Odisha Forest Act, 1972 (Odisha Act 14 of 1972), the State Government do hereby declare that the following land situated in Village Laxmiposi@Jarasandha under Ghatagaon Tahasil of Keonjhar District mutated and transferred in the favour of Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department for raising Compensatory Afforestation thereon against the proposed diversion of 0.764 ha. of forest land for laying of underground water pipeline along with 11 KVA power line from river Karo to Loidapada Integrated Steel Plant of M/s Sree Metaliks Ltd. in Barbil Tahasil of Keonjhar District vide 'in-principle' approval of Government of India. MoEF&CC, Integrated Regional Office, Bhubaneswar communicated in Letter No. 5-ORB539/2022-BHU, dated the 17th April 2023 under Section-2 of the Forest (Conservation) Act. 1980, the limits of which are specifled below and the area of which is 3.820 ha. (9.440 Ac.) shall be Protected Forest with effect from the date of issue of the Notification and shall be known as "Laxmiposi@Jarasandha Protected Forest'' :—
