RESOLUTION
The 5th November 2024
SUBJECT—Creation of 75 (seventy- five) posts of Assistant Sub-Inspector (A. S. I.) of Police (Level-8) in lieu of abolition of 75 (seventy- five) posts of Constable (Level-5) in the Vigilance Organisation.
The creation of posts of Assistant Sub-Inspector (A. S. I.) of Police in the Vigilance Organisation under G.A. (Vigilance) Department was under active consideration of Government for some time past.
After careful consideration, Government have been pleased to create 75 (seventy- five) posts of Assistant Sub-Inspector (A. S. I.) of Police (Level-8) in lieu of abolition of 75 (seventy- five) posts of Constable (Level-5) in the Vigilance Organisation causing an overall increase in the sanctioned strength of ASIs of Police and a corresponding reduction in the sanctioned strength of Constables in State Police Organisation.
This has been concurred in by Finance Department in File No.Fin-GS2-CRTN-0008-2023 and communicated by G.A.&P.G. Department in G. A. (Vigilance) Department OSWAS File No.DGVIG- ESTT-PROP-0010-2023.
These newly created posts of A. S. I. of Police will be encadred under Odisha State Police and will be filled up by State Police Headquarters, Cuttack.
ORDER — Ordered that this Resolution shall be published in the extraordinary issue of the Odisha Gazette and copies thereof be forwarded to all Departments of Government/all Heads of Department/A. G. (A&E), Odisha, Bhubaneswar/A. G. (Audit), Odisha, Bhubaneswar/ Secretary, O. P. S. C., Cuttack/Secretary, O. S. S. C., Bhubaneswar/ Secretary, O. S. S. S. C., Bhubaneswar/ Chairman, State Selection Board, Odisha Police, Cuttack/ Chairman, Odisha Police Recruitment Board, Cuttack.
