NOTIFICATION
The 19th May 2025
No. 6148—TRN-LC-MISC-0067/2018—For detection of violation of different sections of M.V. Act as a measure of road safety, electronic enforcement devices like speed camera, closed circuit television, camera, speed gun, body wearable camera, dashboard camera, Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), weigh in motion, breath analyser and such other technological devices as specified by State Government are being put in place for issuance of e-challans.
In exercise of powers conferred under Rule 167A of Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989, Govt. have been pleased to declare the "Transport Commissioner, Odisha" as the "Designated Authority" to approve & certify that the device is accurate and operating properly and to renew the certificate on yearly basis.
