NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (5) of section 1 of the Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948 (Central Act 34 of 1948), the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry in consultation with the Employees' State Insurance Corporation and with the approval of the Central Government, is hereby pleased to notify his intention to extend the provisions of the said Act to the classes of establishments as specified in the Schedule hereunder on or after one month from the date of publication of this notification in the official gazette of Puducherry, namely:—

The following establishments whereon ten or more A l l a r e a s w h e r e t h e p r o v i s i o n s o f t h e persons are employed, or were employed on any day of Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948 the preceding twelve months, namely:— have already been brought into force under
section 1(3) of the Act.
(i) Shops;
(ii) Hotels;
(iii) Restaurants;
(iv) Road Motor Transport establishments:
(v) Cinemas including preview theatres;
(vi) Newspaper establishments as defined in
section 2(d) of the Working Journalists (Conditions of Service) and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1955 (45 of 1955).
(vii) Educational institutions (including public,
private, aided or partially aided) run by individuals, trustees, societies or other organisations.

8. The materials can be inspected during office hours
on any working days of this office.
9. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

Both the names 'Nagoumir' and 'Nagoor Meeral' refer to one and the same person i.e. myself.
