NOTIFICATION
Whereas, the land mentioned in the Schedule appended below has been notified for acquisition for the formation of separate burial ground for Scheduled Caste people at Thengaithittu Revenue Village;
And whereas, the Government has decided to withdraw the original proposal submitted by the Local Administration Department, Puducherry for acquiring the lands as detailed in the Schedule appended to the declaration issued under section 6 of the Land Acquisition Act,1894 (Central Act 1 of 1894) and that the said lands would no longer be required for the use of the Department for the public purpose;
And whereas, the land mentioned in the declaration under section 6 has not been taken possession;
Now therefore, the Government of Puducherry after fully satisfying itself with the above situation and in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 48 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (Central Act 1 of 1894) hereby withdraws the acquisition proceedings initiated for the land as detailed in the Schedule hereunder. Consequently, th e n o t i f i c a t i o n u n d e r s e c t i o n 4 ( 1 ) o f t h e L a n d A c q u i s i t i o n A c t , 1 8 9 4 a p p r o v e d i n G. O. Ms. No. 34, dated 25-4-1990 and published in the State Gazette No. 19, dated 8-5-1990 and the declaration under section 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 approved in G. O. Ms. No. 43, dated 3-5-1991 and published in the State Extraordinary Gazette No. 55, dated 6-5-1991 shall be treated as withdrawn in respect of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereunder:
