The Revised Scheme of Fees and Honoraria payable to Lawyers for motor accident claims in matters in which fees or honoraria is paid on and from 1-10-1998 is as follows:

This is in modification of the Schedule of fees given in State Authority's Circular.

In case assisted by the Legal Services Authorities and Committees, the service of the Authorities and Committees will be free up to the "No Fault Liability" Level and the required adjustment will be made in recovery of costs and expenses from the claimants.

W h e n t h e f e e s a n d e x p e n s e s a l l o w e d b y t h e T r i b u n a l i s m o r e t h a n w h a t i s p r e s c r i b e d b y t h e State Legal Services Authority, the assisting Lawyer will be paid the fees provided for, by the Tribunal.

MOTOR ACCIDENT CASES

FATAL: Award amount

(a) Up to ` 50,000 : ` 3,000

(b) Above ` 50,000 and up to ` 60,000 : For ` 50,000, ` 3,000 and 10% on the balance.

(c) Above ` 60,000 and up to ` 1,00,000 : For ` 60,000, ` 4,000 and 6¼ % on the balance.

(d) Above ` 1,00,000 and up to ` 4,00,000 : For ` 1,00,000, ` 6,500 and 2% on the balance.

(e) Above ` 4,00,000 : For ` 4,00,000, `12,500 and 1% on the balance.

(b) Above ` 25,000 and up to ` 50,000 : For ` 25,000, ` 2,000 and 5% on the balance subject to

a maximum of ` 1,000.

(c) Above ` 50,000 and up to ` 60,000 : For ` 50,000, ` 3,000 and 10% on the balance.

(d) Above ` 60,000 and up to ` 1,00,000 : For ` 60,000, ` 4,000 and 6 ¼ % on the balance.

(e) Above ` 1,00,000 and up to ` 4,00,000 : For ` 1,00,000, ` 6,000 and 2% on the balance.

Above ` 4,00,000 : For ` 4,00,000, ` 12,500 and 1% on the balance.

Those revised rates will come into force with effect from 1-3-2011.
