1. The sealed cover should be addressed to the Deputy Director (CS&CA), Thattanchavady, Puducherry-9, duly superscribing on the envelope as "Bid for purchase of unserviceable stores" and should reach this office on or before 22-6-2011 at 10.00 a.m. The bid will be opened on the same day at 3.00 p.m. in the presence of bidders at the office of the undersigned.

2. The highest rate quoted will be treated as minimum upset price and then auction will be commenced immediately.

3. The intending bidders should deposit an earnest money deposit of ` 3,000 (Rupees three thousand only) alongwith sealed tenders. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful bidders will be refunded on the same day soon after completion of auction.

4. The successful bidder should pay the entire amount soon after completion of auction and should clear the auctioned materials at his own arrangements/cost before 5.00 p.m. on the same day failing which the office will not be held responsible either for the safe custody or for loss or damage of articles once the auction is over.

5. Sales tax will be charged extra as per the rate applicable at the time of auction.

6. No claim on quality of the article will be admitted once the auction is over, as the disposal is as is which is condition.

7. The intending bidders can inspect the unserviceable article during office hours on 22-6-2011 with permission of Deputy Director (CS & CA), Puducherry.
