GOVERNMENT OF PUDUCHERRY 1. The quotations in sealed cover should be superscribed as "Tender for the purchase of old newspapers" and addressed to the Architect, Architectural Wing, Central Office, Public Works Department, No. 38, Lal Bahadur Shastri Street, Puducherry-605 001.

2. The quotations should reach the undersigned on or before 3.00 p.m. on 7-9-2011 and will be opened at 3.30 p.m. on the same day in the presence of the tenderers. The tenders received after due date and time will be rejected. If the day for opening the tender happens to be a public holiday for any reason, the tenders will be received and opened by the same time on the next working day.

3. The tenderers should deposit an amount of ` 100 (Rupees one hundred only) in cash towards earnest money deposit while submitting their tenders. The earnest money deposit will be refunded to the unsuccessful tenderers after finalisation of tenders. The earnest money deposit of the successful tenderer will be adjusted in the tender amount.

4. The intending tenderers may inspect the said old newspapers during office hours on any working day with due permission.

5. The successful tenderer should immediately pay the total amount due as per his offered rates and remove all the newspapers before 5.30 p.m. on the same day at his own expenses, failing which the earnest money deposit paid by him will be forfeited in full.

6. The successful tenderer cannot avoid purchase of any portion of the old newspapers. No claim on the quantity and quality of the articles will be admitted once the tender is finalised.

7. The undersigned reserves every right to accept or reject any tender or to postpone the tender without assigning any reason thereof.

8. In case of any dispute, the decision of the undersigned will be the final.

Sealed quotations offering the rate per kilogram are invited by the undersigned for the purchase of the following old and used newspapers belonging to Architectural Wing, Public Works Department, Puducherry.

Rate per kilogram I, R. Tamilarasan, son of late R. S. Ramanathan, aged 37 years, Indian, Hindu, Business and residing at No. 40, Pillaiyar Koil Street, Nadu Oduthurai, Karaikal Town and District Munsif, do hereby solemnly affirm and sincerely state as follows:
