In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-clause (vi) of clause (n) of section 2 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act XIV of 1947), read with item 10 of the First Schedule thereunder, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to declare the "Fire Brigade Service" of the Government of Puducherry a s a "P u b l i c U ti li t y S e r v i c e" f o r a f u r t h e r p e r i o d o f s i x m o n t h s f r o m 22nd October 2012 to 21st April 2013 in the exigencies of public interest.
