NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 3 of the

Pondicherry Village Panchayat (Conduct of Election of Members of Commune

Panchayat Councils and Presidents and Members of Village Panchayats) Rules, 1978

as amended from time to time and in partial modification of notification of even

number, dated 10-10-2012, the State Election Commissioner, Puducherry hereby

designates the officers of the Government of Puducherry specified in column (5)

as the Returning Officers for conducting election of Council Member of Commune

Panchayat Council, President and Member of Village Panchayat from the Commune

Panchayat Ward, Village Panchayat Ward and Village Panchayat of Nedungadu in

the place of officer specified earlier in column (6) of this Table.

In exercise of the powers conferred by rule 4 of the Pondicherry Village Panchayat (Conduct of Election of Member of Commune Panchayat Councils and Presidents and Members of Village Panchayats) Rules, 1978 as amended from time to time, the State Election Commissioner, hereby nominates the officers of the Government of Puducherry specified in column (2) of the Table as the Assistant Returning Officer to assist the Returning Officer specified in column (1) in the place of officers specified in column (3) as specified in the earlier notification.
