GOVERNMENT OF PUDUCHERRY TRANSPORT SECRETARIAT (G.O. M S. N O. 4/Tr.Sectt./2013, dated 8th April 2013) NOTIFICATION The draft of the following rule further to amend the Puducherry Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, which the Lieutenant- Governor, Puducherry proposes to make under section 96 is hereby published as required under sub-section (1) of section 212 of the said Act for information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft rule will be taken up for consideration by the Government on the expiry of 14 days from the date of publication of this notification in the official gazette. suggestions if any, received within the time specified above will be considered by the Government. The objections and suggestions may be sent to the Special Secretary to Government, Transport Department, Puducherry.

DRAFT RULE

[PRELIMINARY]

1. Short title and commencement.— (i) These rules may be

called the Puducherry Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2013.

(ii) They shall come into force on and from the date of their

publication in the official gazette.

2. Amendment of rule 66.— In the Puducherry Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, in rule 66, in sub-rule (1) after clause (c), the following clause shall be inserted, namely :—

"(d) that the tickets evidencing the following particulars shall be issued to each and every passenger travelling in the vehicle from whom the fare has been collected, namely:—

(i) Name of the stage carriage :

(ii) Registration number :

(iii) Serial number of the ticket :

(iv) Date of issue :

(v) From t o :

(vi) Amount of fare collected : Passenger Luggage
