NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 read with section 32 o f t h e C o d e o f C r i m i n a l P r o c e d u r e , 1 9 7 3 ( C e n t r a l A c t 2 o f 1 9 7 4 ) , t h e Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry hereby appoints the officers mentioned under column (2) of the Table below as Special Executive Magistrates in Karaikal District with effect from the date of the notification and up to the date of completion of election process in connection with the General Elections to Lok Sabha, 2014 and confers on them all the powers as an Executive Magistrate under the said Code.

In pursuance of the provisions contained in section 28A of the Representation of People Act, 1951 and as per the Standing Order No. 434/l/ESO26/94/MCS, dated 24th October, 1994 of Election Commission of India, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to designate the Police Officers specified in the Table below for the purpose of General Elections to Lok Sabha, 2014 and shall be deemed to be on deputation to the Election Commission of India with immediate effect until the election process is over:

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 read with section 32 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974), the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry hereby appoints the Flying Squad Officers Thiru Sagar Nada Kumar Katdare, PCS (Probationer) and Thiru Chaure Ratnaghosh Kishor, PCS (Probationer) as Special Executive Magistrates with effect from the date of notification and up to the completion of election process in connection with the General Elections to Lok Sabha, 2014, in respect of the Puducherry region and confers on them all the powers as an Executive Magistrate under the said Code.
