NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 11 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act No. 2 of 1974) and in supersession of the notification issued in G.O. Ms. No. 19/2010-LD, dated 16th June, 2010 of the Law Department, Government of Puducherry and published in the Gazette of Puducherry, No. 28, dated 13th July, 2010, save as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, and in consultation with the High Court of Judicature at Madras, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry has been pleased to establish the Court of Judicial Magistrate–III at Puducherry to exercise the powers of Judicial Magistrate of First Class in the Puducherry region by conversion of the Court of Third Additional District Munsif, Puducherry into the Court of Judicial Magistrate–III at Puducherry, as mentioned in the Table below, namely :– LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT [ PART-I 330 330 TABLE

NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Family Courts Act, 1984 (Central Act 66 of 1984) read with the notification issued in S.O. No. 52 (E), dated 4th February, 1987 of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi and in consultation with the High Court of Judicature at Madras, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry hereby establishes a Family Court for Karaikal region for the purpose of exercising the jurisdiction and powers conferred on a Family Court under the said Act and specifies that the jurisdiction of the said Family Court at Karaikal shall extend to the region of Karaikal in the Union territory of Puducherry.
