TENDER NOTICE
Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram (including sales tax) are invited for the purchase of old newspapers and magazines (except the Gazette of Puducherry) in English and Tamil belonging to the Library from 1-4-2013 to 31-3-2014. The rate should be quoted for each item as follows:
Rate per kilogram (1) Old Tamil newspapers . . ` (2) Old English newspapers . . ` (3) Old Tamil magazines . . ` (4) Old English magazines . . ` T h e sealed tenders should be addressed to the Principal, Arignar Anna Government Arts and Science College, Karaikal duly superscribed on the envelope as "Tender for purchase of old newspapers and magazines" and to reach this office on or before 18-6-2014 at 11.00 a.m. Tenders will be opened at 11.00 a.m. on the same day in the presence of the tenderers at the Office of the Principal, Arignar Anna Government Arts and Science College, Karaikal.
The intending tenderers should deposit an amount of ` 500 (Rupees five hundred only) as earnest money deposit. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded immediately after the tender is over. Tenders received after the due date and time will be rejected.
The undersigned reserves the right to accept or reject any tender without assigning any reason thereof. The old newspapers and magazines will be weighed by t h e electronic weighing-m a c h i n e a v a i l a b l e in the college.
The successful tenderer should pay the full a m o u n t i m m e d i a t e l y a n d c l e a r t h e i t e m s w i t h i n 24 hours at their own cost and risk, failing which the earnest money deposit will be forfeited. No claim on the quantity and quality of the articles will be admitted, once the tender is finalised.
Sales tax at the rate applicable will be charged. T h e i n t e n d i n g t e n d e r e r s c a n i n s p e c t t h e a r t i c l e s on all working days during the library hours. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Principal, Arignar Anna Government Arts and Science College, Karaikal will be final.

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram are invited for the purchase of old newspapers (Tamil and English) monthly magazine and General Knowledge Today belonging to the Office of the Principal, Ilango Adigal Government Higher Secondary School, Muthiraiyarpalayam, Puducherry.
2. The rate should be quoted per kilogram for the following items separately.
Rate per kilogram (1) Old Tamil newspapers . . ` (Dina Malar)
(2) Old Tamil newspapers . . ` (Dina Mani)
(3) Old English newspapers . . ` (The Hindu)
(4) Old English newspapers . . ` (The New Indian Express)
(5) Old monthly magazines . . ` [Competition Success (Review)]
(5) Old monthly magazines . . ` (General Knowledge Today)
3. The tenders in sealed covers superscribed with the words "Tender for the old newspapers and magazines" should be addressed to the Office of the Principal, Ilango Adigal Government Higher Secondary School, Muthiraiyarpalayam, Puducherry so as to reach this institution before 3.00. p.m. on 12-6-2014. The tenders will be opened on the same day at 3.30 p.m. in the presence of the tenderers.
4. Tenders received after the due date and time will be rejected.
5. The intending tenderers should deposit an earnest money of ` 500 (Rupees five hundred only) in cash before opening of the sealed tenders. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded after the tenders are opened and successful tenderer has been selected.
6. The intending tenderers may inspect the said articles during office hours on any working day with the permission of the undersigned.

8. The successful tenderer shall arrange to weigh the old newspapers, pay the cost thereof along with applicable sales tax and remove the old newspapers and magazines within 48 hours from the time of the tender sale is over.
9. On failure to this arrangement, the earnest money deposit paid will be forfeited. Also for the old newspapers and magazines which have been disposed after due receipt of payment, this department will not undertake any responsibility for any loss or shortage or damage. On complete clearance, the earnest money deposit will be refunded.
10. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Principal, Ilango Adigal Government Higher Secondary School, Muthiraiyarpalayam, Puducherry will be the final.

3. T h e i n t e n d i n g t e n d e r ers s h o u l d d e p o s i t a sum of ` 2,000 (Rupees two thousand only) as earnest money deposit. The earnest money deposit of the unsucessful tenderers will be returned immediately after the tender sale is over.
4. Tenders received after the due date and time will be summarily rejected.
5. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason thereof.
6. The successful tenderer should pay the full amount immediately and clear the items within 24 hours at his own risk and cost, failing which the earnest money deposit will be forfeited.
7. The intending tenderers may inspect the old condemned furniture/vessels/other items during office hours on any working day with the permission of the undersigned in the above five Government Primary Schools under her control.
8. No claim on the quantity and quality of the articles will be admitted once the tender is admitted.
9. VAT at the rate applicable will be charged @ 10%.
10. In case of any dispute, the decision of the undersigned will be the final.

1 1. The tenders should be addressed to the Deputy Director (Administration), Directorate of School Education, Puducherry superscribing as 'Tender for the purchase of old/unserviceable furniture and dead stock items' so as to reach the undersigned on or before 16-6-2014 at 10.00 a.m.
2. Tenders received after the due date and time will be summarily rejected.
3. The intending tenderers should deposit an amount of ` 1,000 (Rupees one thousand only) as earnest money deposit before submission of tender.
4. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded after the tender is over/ finalised.
5. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or reject any tender or all the items without assigning any reason thereof. The decision of the undersigned is final in case of any dispute.
6. The successful tenderer should pay the entire amount immediately and clear all the articles within 24 hours at his own risk and cost, failing which the earnest money deposit will be forfeited.
7. No claim about the quantity, quality and value of the unserviceable furniture and dead stock items will be admitted once the tender is finalised.
8. The intending tenderers can inspect the furniture and dead stock items during the office hours on any working day in the Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Centenary Educational Complex, Puducherry with the permission of the Store-keeper between 10.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. during 9-6-2014 to 13-6-2014.
9. The sale will be effected only to the highest bidder.
10. The Government in no way be held responsible for the safe custody of the articles once the auction is confirmed.
11. The sales tax as per the rate in force will be charged extra on the amount finalised.
