ORDER

Whereas, the lease period in respect of retail vend of Toddy and Arrack in the Union Territory of Puducherry for the lease year 2013-2014 is up to the 30th day of June 2014;

2. And whereas, in normal circumstances, auction for the retail vend of Toddy and Arrack for the next lease year 2014-2015 should have been conducted in the month of June 2014 itself;

3. And whereas, the proposal for auctioning of Toddy and Arrack shops for the next lease year 2014-2015 could not be finalised due to unavoidable circumstances;

4. Now, therefore, the Government in pursuance of rule 143 of the Puducherry Excise Rules, 1970, hereby extend the lease period of retail vend of Toddy and Arrack in the regions of Puducherry and Karaikal of the Union territory of Puducherry for a period of 31 days from 1st July 2014 to 31st July 2014 (both days inclusive) with same monthly kist amount and terms and conditions as notified in the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management's Notification No.7052/ DC(E)/T(P)/AUC/2013-14 (I), dated 3-6-2013 and published in the Part-I of the Extraordinary Gazette No. 38, dated 3-6-2013.
