1. The quotations in sealed cover should be superscribed as "Tender for the purchase of old newspapers and old version/outdated rules books" addressed to the Architect, Architectural Wing, Central Office, Public Works Department, No. 38, Lal Bahadur Shastri Street, Puducherry-605 001
2. The quotations should reach the undersigned on or before 3.00 p.m on 31st July 2014 and will be opened at 3.30 p.m on the same day in the presence of the tenderers. The tenders received after due date and time will be rejected. If the day for opening the tender happens to be a public holiday for any reason, the tenders will be received and opened by the same time on the next working day.
3. The tenderers should deposit an amount of ` 100 (Rupees one hundred only) in cash towards earnest money deposit while submitting their tender. The earnest money deposit will be refunded to the unsuccessful tenderers after finalisation of tender. The earnest money deposit of the successful tenderer will be adjusted in the tender amount.
4. The intending tenderers may inspect the said old newspapers and old version/outdated rules books during office hours on the previous day of the tender with due permission.
5. The successful tenderer should immediately pay the total amount due as per his offered rates and remove all the newspapers and old version/outdated rules books before 5.30 p.m on the same day at his own expense, failing which the earnest money deposit paid by him will be forfeited in full.
6. The successful tenderer cannot avoid purchase of any portion of the old newspapers. No claim on the quantity and quality of the articles will be admitted once the tender is finalised.
7. The undersigned reserves every right to accept or reject any tender or to postpone the tender without assigning any reason thereof.
8. In case of any dispute, the decision of the undersigned will be final.

1. The sealed tenders should be addressed to the Deputy Director (EE), Jawahar Bal Bhavan, Botanical Garden, Puducherry-1, duly superscribing on the envelope as "Tender for the purchase of old library books (Tamil and English) and old newspapers (Tamil and English)" and should reach this office on or before 4-9-2014 at 10.00 a.m. The tenders will be opened on the same day at 11.00 a.m. in the presence of attending tenderers.
2. The highest rate quoted will be treated as minimum bid amount and then the public auction will be started.

3. The intending bidders should deposit an earnest money deposit of ` 200 (Rupees two hundred only) along with sealed tender. The earnest money deposit of unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded on the same day soon after completion of auction.
4. The successful tenderer should pay the entire amount soon after completion of auction and should clear the auctioned materials at his own arrangements/cost before 5.00 p.m. on the same day failing which the office will not be held responsible either for the safe custody or for loss or damage of articles once the auction is over.
1. The tenders in sealed cover superscribed as "Tender for the purchase of old Tamil and English newspapers" and addressed to the Chief of Government Pharmacy, Indira Nagar, Gorimedu, Puducherry-605 006, should reach this office on or before 13-8-2014. The tender received after the due date and time will be summarily rejected.
2. The tenders will be opened on the same day at 4.00 p.m. in the presence of the tenderers.
