TENDER NOTICE
Sealed tenders are invited for the sale of old condemned furniture items of the following Government Middle Schools and Government High Schools under the control of the Chief Educational Officer in as-is-where-is condition on 24-7-2014.
1. GMS, Adingapet 5. GMS, Manalipet 2. GMS, Bahour 6. GHS, Veerampattinam 3. GMS, P.S. Nallur 7. GHS, Pillaiyarkuppam (V) 4. GMS, Kodathur 8. GHS, Thirukkanur 2. The tenders in plain paper should be sealed and addressed to the Chief Educational Officer, Directorate of School Education, Puducherry duly superscribing o n t he e n v e l o p e a s "Te nd e r f o r th e p u r c h as e o f o ld cond emned furniture items" and sent to reach the undersigned on or before 2 4- 7- 2 01 4 at 4 .0 0 p.m. The tenders will be opened on the same day at 4.30 p.m. in the presence of the tenderers who are present.
3. The intending tenderers should deposit an amount of ` 3,000 (Rupees three thousand only) as earnest money deposit. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers will be returned immediately after the tender sale is over.
4. Tenders received after the due date and time will be summarily rejected.
5. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason thereof.
6. The successful tenderer should pay the full amount immediately and clear the items within 24 hours at his own risk and cost, failing which the earnest money deposit will be forfeited.
7. The intending tenderers may inspect the old condemned furniture items during office hours on any working day with the permission of the Headmasters in the concern Middle and High Schools listed above without any disturbance to the students.
8. No claim on the quality and quantity of the articles will be admitted once the tender is admitted.
9. VAT at the rate applicable will be charged @ 10%.
10. In case of any dispute, the decision of the undersigned will be the final.

2. Tenders in sealed covers superscribed as "Tender for the purchase of unserviceable/damaged wooden and steel furniture, sports articles and lab. articles" should be addressed to the Vice Principal, Kasthuribai Gandhi Government Girls' Higher Secondary School, Bahour, Puducherry-605 407 and sent to reach the undersigned on or before 23-7-2014 at 10.30 a.m . The tenders will be opened on the same day at 11.00 a.m. in the presence of the tenderers who are present in the chamber of the Vice Principal, Kasthuribai Gandhi Government Girls' Higher Secondary School, Bahour, Puducherry.
3. The intending tenderers should deposit an amount of ` 2,000 (Rupees two thousand only) in cash as earnest money deposit at Kasthuribai Gandhi Government Girls' Higher Secondary School, Bahour, Puducherry-605 407 at the time of submitting the sealed tenders. The tenders without earnest money deposit will be summarily rejected.
4. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers will be returned immediately after the tender sale is over, whereas, the earnest money deposit of the successful tenderer will be returned after the work is completed in all aspects. The tenders received after the due date and time will be rejected.
5. The intending tenderers may inspect the unserviceable/damaged wooden and steel furniture, sports articles and lab. articles during the office hours on any working day with permission of the undersigned between 3.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. during the two working days before the date of tender sale.
6. The successful tenderer should pay the full amount including VAT as applicable under rules in force and clear the items within 24 hours at his own risk and cost failing which the earnest money deposit will be forfeited.
